Photograph the Sacred Realm
Mount Kailash & Lake Manasarovar Sacred Photography Tour — 17 Days
An overland Himalayan road journey designed for devotees, photographers and nature lovers — combining sacred pilgrimage with the finest light on earth: Lake Manasarovar, Rakshas Tal, the west & north faces of Kailash, Dolma-La Pass, Gauri Kund and the monasteries of the outer kora.
Yatra Overview
“Every frame a prayer — from the turquoise mirror of Manasarovar to the golden north face of Kailash, the camera learns to see what the soul already knows.”
The Mount Kailash–Lake Manasarovar Sacred Photography Tour is a specially designed overland journey for devotees, photographers, nature lovers and spiritual travellers who wish to experience and capture the extraordinary beauty of Mount Kailash, Lake Manasarovar, the Tibetan plateau and the surrounding sacred pilgrimage sites.
Beginning in Kathmandu with two days of heritage and spiritual photography, the route travels overland through the Himalayan landscape and across the Kodari–Zhangmu border into Xizang (Tibet), combining sacred pilgrimage, Himalayan photography, cultural exploration, scenic drives and trekking around Mount Kailash.
The journey includes opportunities to photograph Lake Manasarovar, Rakshas Tal, Yam Dwar, Mount Kailash, Dirapuk and Zuthulpuk monasteries, Gauri Kund, Dolma-La Pass, Shivasthal, Astapada, Nandi Parvat, the Saptarishi Caves, Tirthapuri and Choku (Chhuku) Monastery — with a dedicated acclimatization and sacred-photography day in the Kailash–Manasarovar region and a special viewpoint excursion from Darchen.
Local security regulations in Tibet are strictly enforced: access to certain sites and some photography may be restricted without prior notice, and our team follows the instructions of local authorities at all times. The itinerary is subject to change with weather, roads, permits and government regulations.
