From Sita’s Birthplace to Shiva’s Abode
Janakpuri Dham – Pashupatinath Temple Tour
Walk the courtyards of Janaki Mandir in Janakpur — the birthplace of Mother Sita — then receive the evening aarti and full darshan of Pashupatinath in one graceful six-day dham yatra.
Yatra Overview
“In Janakpur the Mother was born; in Kathmandu the Father waits — one yatra, two homes of the divine.”
Janakpur, the ancient capital of Mithila, is the birthplace of Sita and the place of her divine wedding to Lord Ram. The marble Janaki Mandir and the Vivah Mandap draw pilgrims from across the world, and the ponds and gardens of the dham hold the quiet of the Ramayana.
This tour gives Janakpur two full sacred days — evening aarti at Janaki Mandir, morning darshan at the birthplace and Vivah Mandap, and Dhanusha Dham — before flying to Kathmandu for Pashupatinath evening aarti and complete morning darshan with Guhyeshwari and Budhanilkantha.
Short, gentle and deeply fulfilling, it is an ideal first dham yatra for families and for those honouring the divine mother and father together.
