When the Gods Walk the Streets
Holy Festival Tour
Nepal’s festivals are not performances but living worship — join one at its heart: the festival temple, the midnight puja, the chariot and the crowd singing, with our pandit guiding your every rite.
Yatra Overview
“On festival nights the valley becomes a temple without walls — every lamp a prayer, every drum a heartbeat of the Devi.”
Each season Nepal celebrates the divine in its streets: Teej with its fasting mothers at Pashupatinath, Indra Jatra with the living goddess Kumari on her chariot, Dashain and Tihar lighting every home, Janai Purnima at the kundas, Buddha Jayanti in Lumbini and the valley viharas.
This 3-day tour places you inside the festival of the season: preparation puja on arrival, the main festival day at its principal temple with our pandit leading your puja and explaining each rite, and a closing darshan before departure.
Departures are fixed to the festival calendar — enquire for the next confirmed festival and its dates.
